New Ipswich is located on the border of Massachusetts, halfway between the Monadnock and Wachusett Mountains. The Wapack Trail passes through the community. The first woolen mill and cotton mill in New Hampshire were established in New Ipswich. These gorgeous water-powered mills still stand proudly in town, although today they are not used to produce the goods they once proudly distributed around the globe. The influence of these affluent times are still seen in the architecture throughout town.
In the beginning of October, New Ipswich hosts their annual Autumn Festival. The festival includes music, hay rides, fun houses, food, a bonfire, and more. It's fun for the whole family.
