Jaffrey is known for its natural beauty. It's nestled at the base of Grand Monadnock Mountain, one of the most climbed mountains in the world, and is home to three beautiful lakes, rolling hills, and a quaint village green. Monadnock State Park offers many trails, for all levels of ability, as well as campsites and more. Many authors have been inspired by Jaffrey's beauty including Emerson, Thoreau, and Kipling. Jaffrey's rich history can be seen throughout town in its beautiful, preserved architecture.
Jaffrey hosts the Festival of Fireworks in August every year for more than 20 years. This spectacular event includes skydivers, food, live entertainment, and more.
Jaffrey is part of SAU 47, the Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District along with Rindge. Elementary aged children attend Jaffrey Grade School. Middle schoolers attend Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School. High schoolers attend Conant High School.
